Room Tax (Transit Occupancy Tax)

The City of Palm Springs applies an 11.5% Room Tax to the cost of the stay and cleaning for any stay less than 29 days. Any additional fees that you pay, such are heating the pool or spa are strictly optional, and therefore are not subject to tax. We collect this separately through Airbnb for several reasons. One, it is required by the City, and also it is cheaper for you if we do not include it in the nightly rate, because you pay anywhere from 6 to 12% in guest fees to Airbnb for your original transaction. If we collect it separately after you book, then there are no fees applied.
